How can people still stand to read after all these years! Same letters forming the same words. books! Jesus H Christ! Those same damn 26 letters, over and over. I can't believe these lamers still enjoying cars. Or cars! Shit! A frame, 4 wheels, engine and some way to steer it. Yeah some people add other stuff, but its still just ice cream! How can people like something that has been essentially the same since it was created! Same for these dumbasses who still like ice cream. You mean, aside from the reused spells, items, summons, character designs, gameplay (up until XII, I suppose), map/world interface, down to the fucking chocobos? what dead horse are they beating? Wait, whut? every time (except all the FF7 sequels and FF x-2). new story, characters, battle system, etc. If you've played ANY FF games at all, then you should be aware that the only thing they have in common are the name.

I didn't do much of any grinding in the game - I just thoroughly explored each area to clear the map as I went and I always seemed to be at just the right level - high enough to take on the challenges ahead of me but low enough to get my ass kicked if I wasn't paying attention. Also, my epic super-low-level run for the Zodiac Spear. From bosses to hunts to wandering into areas I wasn't ready for. I died quite a few times in FFXII, on the other hand. With one exception (when the game broke out the old forced parties cliche for the first time in the middle of the third disc and I hadn't leveled up a character), I have found Lost Odyssey to be a total cakewalk after the first boss. I'd disagree with you on Lost Odyssey though. It was amusing to hear so many people who liked KOTOR bitch about the game playing itself because they hated JRPGs back when the game first came out. I hope they take Lost Odyssey's lead and reintroduce some bite in the regular encounters, but keep them non-random and allow more savepoints.įF XII essentially had the same battle system as KOTOR, with only minor differences. My only problem is it seems FFs get easier and easier with each sequel. It's active combat taken to the next level, with just a pseudo in-engine cutscene where the characters follow a script until you interrupt with commands. one thing i couldn't stand was their pronunciation of "marquis." thank goodness that only lasted a chapter or so.įor those who hate FF12's gambit system, I would like to taste your tears because FF13 points to building on that premise. at least there's less teen angst in this one. i liked it, but it's obviously more serious and political than the previous FF's. what exactly are you asking for? do you actually find mashing "attack" constantly every time you run into a field monster exciting?Īs for the story, i'm inclined to agree. it pretty much delivered exactly what people wanted- they no longer have to button mash like drones every time they encountered random enemies on the field, but it still leaves enough to require human input during boss fights. If combat is boring, then you've sat around leveling up too much, or you take too much pleasure in the non-boss battles.

basic skills are nearby and cost less, powerful abilities are further away and cost more. "Talent tree doesn't make sense"? you get points and you spend them to get new abilities. That said, i have to wonder about hello world's take on the game. Not only is it obvious you've never played FF12, you're desperately trying to be emo-cool by bashing the popular. Well, with moronic consoletards who keep buying the shovelware, I guess you can, but.meh. Triplet alphas gifted luna chapter 75.This just in: you can't beat a dead horse forever and expect it to keep producing.
